Care Packages for Veterans

Bayville-Centre Island Rotary will collect donations of basic necessities for homeless veterans with General Needs Ltd., and will sort and pack care bags for its Day of Service. 

Central Nassau Rotary

Feed the Hungry Dinner Dance

Central Nassau Rotary is hosting a dinner dance on Thursday May 16th, to raise money for over 20 charities and community organizations their club supports throughout the year for its Rotary Day of Service.

Farmingdale Rotary

Food Drive for St. Killian’s

Farmingdale Rotary will collect food and hygiene product donations at the Stop and Shop in Farmingdale for St. Killian’s Food Pantry for local families experiencing food insecurity for its Rotary Day of Service.

Floral Park-Bellerose Rotary Club

Care Packages for Veterans

Floral Park-Bellerose Rotary will donate over $1,000 of toiletries to General Needs Ltd., and will sort and pack care bags of basic necessities for homeless veterans for its Day of Service.

Freeport-Merrick Rotary Club

Freeport-Merrick Rotary will collect donations of basic necessities for homeless veterans with General Needs Ltd., and will sort and pack care bags for its Day of Service. 

Glen Cove Rotary

Free Community Mental Health and Narcan Training Event

Glen Cove Rotary will be hosting a free event for  community mental health awareness and training community members on learning how to recognize the signs of opioid overdose, including Hroin, Fentanyl, and prescription opioid medications and learn how to administer the reversal drug Narcan Nasal Spray for its Rotary Day of Service. Those that complete the Narcan training will receive a free kit. 

Gold Coast-Lake Success Rotary

Food Drive and Clothing Pantry Distribution

Gold Coast-Lake Success Rotary will host a food drive on Saturday, 5/18 at ShopRite in New Hyde Park to collect food donations for local food pantries, and on Sunday, 5/19 will host a clothing distribution at their clothing pantry for Veterans and school children in need for its Rotary Day of Service.

Great Neck Rotary

Community Food Drive 

Great Neck Rotary will host a food drive at ShopRite in New Hyde Park, to collect food for local food pantries, in partnership with Gold Coast-Lake Success Rotary for its Rotary Day of Service. 

 

 

 

Hempstead-Uniondale Rotary Club

Care Packages for Veterans

Hempstead-Uniondale Rotary will collect donations of basic necessities for homeless veterans with General Needs Ltd., and will sort and pack care bags for its Day of Service. 

Hicksville South Rotary Club

Undergarment and Personal Care Kit Collection

Hicksville South Rotary will collect and package donations of undergarments, new/gently used clothes, towels, and hygiene kits and distribute to those in need for its day of service.

Hicksville-Jericho Rotary Club

Food Collection and Delivery

Hicksville-Jericho Rotary will host a food drive at Best Farms in Hicksville, NY to collect food and hygiene products, and distribute the items collected to Holy Family Church, Hicksville United Methodist, and Jericho Cares to help those in need for its Rotary Day of Service.

Jericho Sunrise Rotary

Jericho Sunrise Rotary is in the process of planning a community service project to engage members of the town that will provide impact and broad support for those in need throughout the community for its Rotary Day of Service.

Locust Valley Rotary

Community Food Drives

Locust Valley Rotary will collect food donations at Locust Valley Market and Christina’s Epicure to distribute to community food pantries to benefit local families experiencing food insecurity for its Rotary Day of Service.

Manhasset Rotary

Service Around the World

Manhasset Rotary members will serve their local communities on May 18th, with food collections, beach cleanups and blood drives, to a Gift of Life mission abroad, providing life saving heart surgeries to children for its Rotary Day of Service.

Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club

Landscaping Day at the Celebration Garden

Mineola-Garden City Rotary is partnering with the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island, a non-profit dedicated to uniting humanity over ethical and moral values by sprucing up their Celebration Garden by planting native plants, weeding and mulching for its Rotary Day of Service.

North Shore Rotary

Lake Success Blood Drive

North Shore Rotary is hosting a Blood Drive at the New York Blood Center in Lake Success, where one donation can save up to THREE LIVES for its Rotary Day of Service. Folks are encouraged to donate at ANY blood donation center near them on May 18th! Please email rotaryclubofnorthshore@gmail.com letting them know you’re participating in your town. 

 

 

Wiliston Park Rotary

Concessions for the Spina Bifida Walk-N-Roll

Williston Park Rotary is partnering with the Spina Bifida Association of New York State for their Annual Walk-N-Roll event at Eisenhower State Park. They will operate the concession stand, preparing and serving refreshments to event attendees for their Day of Service.
